FILE CHECK PERCENTAGE FOR CHECKING LAUNCHED

Options for checking files have now been amended, so that you can set the relevant percentage of files that you wish to be checked. “100% Pre Sale” works as usual, if this is ticked all new business that user creates will trigger a file check request. The file will be notified to file check department who will also see, as the adviser will see, the “100%” label next to the IFA name.

“Exclude from Auto Filecheck” works as usual, If this is ticked all policies for this user will be omitted in the auto filecheck check.

“Auto Filecheck percentage” now you can specify the % of policies that needs to be checked for that user (10% or 1 of 10 by default)

File Checks – pre-sale file check launched

Good news! The File Check area on BAT has been updated. There are now 3 distinct areas for file checks:

  • New Business
  • Pre-Approval
  • Independent File Check

For those firms using BAT to record New Business, this will continue to be the way for file checks to be either automatically (via BAT) or manually (via the firm) selected. You will now see a list of requested documents, which we would be grateful if you could tick to identify the documents uploaded. There is now one single upload or “drag and drop” area for files to be uploaded, which we believe will make things much easier.

For those firms using pre-approval checks within their process, this can be requested through the File Checks area by selecting “+ New Pre Approval Filecheck”. The drag and drop area previously only accepted one file, however multiple files are now accepted making this a more streamlined process.

Independent File checks are a brand-new addition to BAT. This will allow those firms not recording New Business via BAT to manually request file checks. Minimal mandatory data is required to confirm Plan Types, Client Name and Adviser details. Additionally, should you have files that need checking such as Annual Reviews where there is no new product involved, these can be added here and “Existing Policy (not New Business)” selected from the New Business Type Dropdown. We believe this will make the process of file checks much easier for all involved.

BAT software has secure messaging built into the system. This allows you to securely message your clients and send documentation.

It gets away from the less secure manor of emails, emails can be intercepted or end up in a junk or spam inboxes.

Bulk Turnover upload – Enhanced feature

We have recently enhanced the Turnover section on BAT to accept a bulk upload on information from an excel spreadsheet.

This makes adding turnover records in bulk quicker, easier and helps eliminate errors occurring when adding lots of turnover records.

BAT Software – what is 2 Factor Authenticator (2FA) launched

Two-factor authentication (2FA), sometimes referred to as two-step verification or dual-factor authentication, is a security process in which users provide two different authentication factors to verify themselves.

2FA is implemented to better protect for both a user's credentials and the resources the user can access. Two-factor authentication provides a higher level of security than authentication methods that depend on single-factor authentication, in which the user provides only one factor -- typically, a password or passcode. Two-factor authentication methods rely on a user providing a password as the first factor and a second, different factor which is Google Authenticator.

Two-factor authentication adds an additional layer of security to the authentication process by making it harder for attackers to gain access to BAT Software because, even if the victim's password is hacked, a password alone is not enough to pass the authentication check.

You will need to download Google Authenticator app via the Apple or Android stores.
