DIGITAL ID AND THE ROLE OF ADVISERS IN VERIFYING ID

Robin Tombs and others invested £166m of capital into the Digital ID project called YOTI in 2014, and are showing accumulated losses of £140m for their money.

The launch of National Digital ID could crowd them out and even lead to wipe out. They are arguing against scenarios of the Digital ID scheme that could be state built (like the passport system) and mandatory for public sector workers. That would have a catastrophic impact for YOTi and other providers. Perhaps the CEO is in with the Government and building the app for them?

BAT hooks up to Yoti, and it is really popular for BAT users to verify ID. We think the current system works fine, and in 33 years of Financial service work, I have yet to stumble upon a fake identity. Have you?
