GRIPES IN SOFTWARE WORLD

One of the biggest gripes in financial services is the number of software systems required, and feedback on using APIs to improve the experience for the broker. But is this realistic?

I went to the Mortgage exhibition in London on 14th October, and the big growth markets are undoubtedly software (and equity release – more on that later). CRM systems are all the rage, and small corners of your daily life have a torch shone on automation and improvements with a new software app, yet another log in and another subscription. But they’re really rather good, with laser-focus on that one activity in your office. I sense this is the way things are going – more software partners, not less, despite the gripes.
